Accountabilities:

• Manage team priorities, assignments, project execution, and feature development activities.
• Collaborate with architects, senior developers, and product managers to define, estimate, and plan new features.
• Lead Agile Scrum teams through feature design, implementation, testing, refinement, and process improvement.
• Oversee project logistics, resource allocation, and the operational needs required for successful delivery.
• Identify and secure resources required by engineering teams, including hardware, development tools, and other technical resources.
• Help establish and oversee project budgets and support cost-management strategies.
• Drive improvements in the efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness of engineering processes and product designs.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders and cross-functional departments to coordinate priorities and delivery.
• Engage with customer-facing and field teams to communicate product and technology information.
• Support communication with customers and stakeholders on relevant product capabilities and technical information.
• Mentor team members, strengthen team collaboration, and help create an environment that supports high performance and continuous development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience managing software development teams.
• Strong understanding of embedded software technologies and development processes.
• In-depth knowledge of software certification concepts and processes.
• Experience managing projects and teams across multiple development stages.
• Strong personnel management, project management, organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
• Strategic thinking combined with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership, team-building, mentoring, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to evaluate new approaches when facing technical or organizational challenges.
• Ability to use presentation tools to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical managers and other stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies or similar collaborative development practices is desirable.
• Knowledge of DO-178C certification standards is a plus.
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, and Jira is desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and/or DevSecOps concepts is beneficial.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle and familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management tools is a plus.
• Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM, or CSPO are desirable.
• Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), RTOS development tools, and hypervisor technologies is beneficial.
