Director, Product Strategy & Operations (Product Adoption)

Team: Product

Location: India

Commitment: Full-time

Workplace Type: remote

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Strategy & Operations (Product Adoption) based in India.

This is a senior strategic leadership role focused on improving how customers discover, adopt, and realize value from a broad SaaS product ecosystem. You will identify adoption gaps across the customer lifecycle and turn behavioral data and customer insights into high-impact product priorities. The role sits at the intersection of Product, Growth, Customer Success, Data, and Operations, giving you broad influence across the organization. You will shape product adoption strategies, establish measurement frameworks, and influence roadmaps through evidence-based recommendations. Success will be measured through stronger activation, engagement, retention, expansion, and customer value. The role offers significant autonomy, executive visibility, and the opportunity to build scalable systems that improve product adoption globally within a remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

    • Define and execute the product adoption strategy across key products, capabilities, customer segments, and stages of the customer lifecycle.
    • Identify barriers to product discovery, activation, engagement, and repeat usage, prioritizing opportunities according to customer impact, business value, and strategic importance.
    • Establish adoption metrics, success criteria, and measurement frameworks covering onboarding, activation, feature penetration, engagement, retention, and expansion.
    • Analyze customer journeys, funnels, cohorts, feature usage, behavioral patterns, and segmentation data to identify friction points and growth opportunities.
    • Partner with Product and Data teams to evaluate time-to-value, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, churn, and customer behavior across products, geographies, cohorts, and use cases.
    • Translate customer and product insights into actionable recommendations that influence product strategy, roadmaps, investments, onboarding, UX, education, packaging, and cross-product experiences.
    • Develop business cases for high-impact adoption initiatives and help Product leaders prioritize investments based on measurable customer and business outcomes.
    • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Revenue teams.
    • Establish clear ownership models, operating rhythms, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms for adoption initiatives.
    • Ensure product launches are supported by clear adoption strategies designed to drive meaningful customer usage beyond initial release.
    • Build systematic feedback loops with customer-facing teams to capture customer needs, workflows, pain points, and reasons for non-adoption.
    • Combine quantitative product analytics with qualitative customer insights to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
    • Benchmark adoption and customer experience against relevant SaaS and technology businesses while creating executive-level visibility into adoption performance and emerging risks.
    • Requirements

      • 12+ years of experience across Product Strategy, Growth, Product Management, Product Operations, Strategy & Operations, or related disciplines, including meaningful leadership experience.
      • Proven experience driving product adoption, activation, engagement, retention, customer expansion, or product-led growth within a technology or SaaS environment.
      • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated experience using product and customer data to identify problems, uncover opportunities, and guide strategic decisions.
      • Deep understanding of funnels, cohorts, segmentation, experimentation, retention metrics, customer lifecycle analytics, and product adoption measurement.
      • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and senior stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.
      • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with measurable business outcomes and the ability to establish clear ownership and accountability.
      • Ability to move effectively between executive-level strategy, data analysis, and hands-on problem solving.
      • Strong communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills, particularly when translating complex data and customer insights into clear recommendations.
      • Experience with B2B SaaS, SMB-focused products, platform businesses, or multi-product ecosystems is highly preferred.
      • Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to connect product behavior and adoption metrics to retention, expansion, and long-term customer value.
      • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
      • Benefits

        • Remote work opportunity based in India.
        • Senior leadership position with broad strategic influence across Product, Growth, Data, Customer Success, and Operations.
        • High visibility with senior and executive stakeholders.
        • Opportunity to shape product strategy and directly influence product roadmaps and investment priorities.
        • Exposure to a global SaaS platform serving businesses across multiple markets and customer segments.
        • Opportunity to build scalable product adoption frameworks, operating models, and measurement systems.
        • Collaborative, remote-first environment that emphasizes initiative, clarity, ownership, and execution.
        • Equal opportunity workplace with a strong focus on inclusion and fair employment practices.
