This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Management based in the United States.
This senior product leadership role will shape the strategy and evolution of a portfolio of healthcare payment solutions.
You will lead a talented product organization while defining products that simplify patient payments and improve financial outcomes for healthcare providers.
The role combines product vision, customer insight, commercial strategy, and hands-on execution in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
You will partner closely with executive leadership, engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and client-facing teams to bring new products and enhancements to market.
Your work will influence payment experiences spanning point-of-service collections, statements, payment plans, and recurring payment capabilities.
The ideal leader is strategic and analytical while remaining comfortable diving into complex product, technical, and customer problems.

Accountabilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of payment applications, ensuring priorities align with customer needs and broader business objectives.
- Product Leadership: Lead, develop, mentor, and support a team of Product Managers, fostering strong ownership, collaboration, accountability, and high-quality product execution.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee products spanning point-of-service collections, card-on-file capabilities, statements, payment plans, and related payment experiences.
- Executive Partnership: Work closely with executive leadership to establish strategic priorities, evaluate opportunities, and communicate product performance, progress, and key decisions.
- Customer-Centered Product Development: Engage directly with customers and internal client-facing teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and ensure products address meaningful healthcare payment needs.
- Go-to-Market: Develop product go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing, sales, and client solutions teams to successfully launch and scale new products and capabilities.
- Business Cases: Build compelling business cases for new products and feature enhancements in partnership with engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Technical Product Leadership: Guide platform-as-a-service initiatives, prioritizing APIs and technical capabilities that enable internal teams and support scalable product development.
- Payments Innovation: Help evolve payment experiences across online and ecommerce channels, card-present and point-of-sale environments, recurring payments, and card-on-file solutions.
- Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitors, market trends, customer expectations, and emerging technologies to inform product positioning and investment decisions.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor product and business metrics, using data and customer insights to evaluate outcomes and continuously improve the portfolio.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate distributed teams across product, engineering, and business functions to manage multiple priorities and deliver products effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Product Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, preferably within healthcare and a high-growth B2B SaaS environment using Agile development methodologies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience hiring, mentoring, developing, and managing Product Managers, with the ability to create a high-performing and collaborative product organization.
- Product Strategy: Proven ability to establish product vision and strategy and translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable roadmaps.
- Payments Expertise: Experience developing and launching successful payment processing applications or comparable financial technology products.
- Platform Experience: Experience leading platform-as-a-service products and prioritizing APIs and technical capabilities that support other internal teams.
- Payment Technologies: Strong understanding of payment solutions, including ecommerce, card-present/POS, recurring payments, and card-on-file transactions.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience creating or integrating payment APIs and SDKs is valuable; familiarity with hosted payment options, NFC/EMV, and P2PE is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Deep interest in user experience, with the ability to understand customer needs and use research and product data to inform decisions.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex opportunities, interpret metrics, and make data-informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Execution: Comfortable operating under pressure, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineering, marketing, sales, operations, executive leadership, and other cross-functional teams.
- Compensation: USD $240,000–$260,000 total cash compensation, inclusive of base salary and variable incentive, depending on qualifications.
