Accountabilities

• Cross-functional Finance support: Provide flexible capacity across Finance functions, including procurement, planning and analysis, grants management, financial systems, and team operations, helping teams advance strategic priorities and manage periods of increased demand.
• Operational ownership: Maintain responsibility for recurring operational activities, including Workday and Adaptive user access management and quarterly data analysis.
• Project and process improvement: Support operational priorities through documentation, knowledge management, workflow optimization, process improvement, and other initiatives designed to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Peak-period and special-project support: Deploy to selected Finance functions to support time-bound projects, seasonal workload increases, vacancies, leaves, and other periods requiring additional capacity.
• Financial operations support: Provide technical and data-entry assistance during budgeting cycles, support travel and expense management during periods of high organizational travel, assist with grants documentation, and maintain training and resource materials.
• Stakeholder partnership: Build effective working relationships with Finance colleagues, organizational leaders, and cross-functional partners, adapting communication and support to diverse needs and perspectives.
• Systems and knowledge management: Learn new tools, workflows, and processes quickly and help identify connections, gaps, and opportunities for more effective ways of working.
• Team engagement: Participate actively in Finance meetings, team-building activities, professional development, and other initiatives that strengthen collaboration and shared effectiveness.

Requirements

• Professional experience: At least four years of relevant experience in business operations, finance, strategy, project management, data analysis, or a closely related field.
• Financial and analytical skills: Strong financial and data analysis capabilities, including advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using financial management platforms such as Workday and Adaptive Planning.
• Project management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, workstreams, deadlines, and competing demands simultaneously.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across teams and organizational boundaries, including partnering with colleagues and leaders without direct reporting relationships.
• Influence and leadership: Ability to manage laterally and upward, build strong relationships, and drive progress toward outcomes through influence rather than formal authority.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable guidance.
• Adaptability: Comfortable moving between strategic and tactical responsibilities, learning unfamiliar systems quickly, and operating effectively amid uncertainty, changing priorities, and ambiguous situations.
• Preferred expertise: Experience in financial planning, grants management, procurement, financial systems, or high-stakes financial analysis is an advantage.
• Work flexibility: Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends during peak periods and travel to in-person gatherings approximately one to two times per year.

• Salary: Tiered U.S. salary ranges based on the cost of labor in the employee's geographic area:
  • Tier A: $67,500–$88,600
  • Tier B: $73,600–$96,500
  • Tier C: $79,600–$104,500
