We are seeking an experienced Development Lead/Architect to design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions while guiding engineering teams toward technical excellence.
This role combines hands-on development with architectural leadership, requiring strong expertise across modern frontend frameworks, backend technologies, databases, and cloud-based development practices.
You will play a key role in shaping application architecture, improving system performance, and ensuring high standards for code quality and reliability.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader who enjoys mentoring developers, reviewing solutions, and translating complex technical decisions into clear business outcomes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design efficient systems, optimize development processes, and support continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
- Design and architect small-to-medium software systems using scalable and maintainable approaches.
- Develop clean, testable, and efficient code across frontend and backend applications.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, pull request evaluations, and coaching to improve engineering practices.
- Guide developers on best practices, troubleshoot technical challenges, and mentor mid-level and junior team members.
- Design and maintain intuitive APIs using RESTful or GraphQL principles.
- Identify and resolve application performance issues, including inefficient SQL queries, database bottlenecks, and frontend performance challenges.
- Support database design decisions, including normalization strategies, data modeling, and optimization.
- Assist with DevOps activities by troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues and ensuring secure management of development environments.
- Promote testing best practices by implementing unit testing and end-to-end testing as part of the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to explain architectural decisions, trade-offs, and technical recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience working with SQL-based databases, particularly PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems.
- Solid understanding of system design concepts, including database normalization, load balancing, and basic microservices architecture.
- Experience debugging CI/CD pipelines and managing application configuration securely.
- Strong knowledge of software testing practices, including unit tests and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to conduct effective code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to mentor developers and promote collaborative engineering practices.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain or maintain Public Trust (High) clearance.
