Accountabilities:

The Senior Backend Java Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving backend solutions while ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. The role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to solve complex challenges in dynamic projects.

• Design and model software architectures, especially for cloud-based environments.
• Plan and execute technology migrations for applications running in production environments.
• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Java and modern software engineering practices.
• Apply architectural best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Estimate development efforts and define realistic implementation timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges throughout project lifecycles.
• Work effectively under deadlines while maintaining software quality standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Contribute ideas, improvements, and proactive solutions to enhance applications and processes.
• Apply clean code principles, design patterns, and software quality practices throughout development.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience, advanced knowledge of Java ecosystems, and the ability to work with cloud technologies and distributed systems. A combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills is essential.

• Solid professional experience with Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring MVC.
• Experience with messaging and streaming solutions such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or SNS.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures, particularly with AWS.
• Strong understanding of Java concurrency concepts, including multithreading, parallel processing, scalability, and container-based workloads.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong understanding and application of SOLID principles and Clean Code practices.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and architectural best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD implementation and deployment processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of financial markets or investment environments is desirable.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholder profiles.
• Ability to work effectively in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
