Content Engineer, Developer Relations

Team: IT

Commitment: Full-time

Workplace Type: remote

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Content Engineer, Developer Relations based in United States.

This role focuses on creating authentic, technically driven content that helps developers and engineering teams understand and adopt innovative software delivery solutions.
You will combine technical expertise, storytelling, and hands-on product experience to build practical use cases from real-world engineering challenges.
The position requires someone who can independently identify valuable scenarios, develop solutions, and transform them into engaging educational content.
You will collaborate with engineering, product, and technical leadership teams while owning the full content lifecycle from concept to execution.
Success in this role means creating credible resources that resonate with practitioners and demonstrate how modern AI-powered tools solve complex problems.
This is an opportunity to shape developer education and influence how technical audiences discover and apply next-generation software delivery practices.

Accountabilities:

The Content Engineer, Developer Relations will be responsible for designing, building, and communicating practical technical experiences that showcase real solutions for developers, platform engineers, and DevOps professionals. This role combines hands-on technical execution with content strategy, requiring strong judgment around developer needs and industry challenges.

    • Design realistic technical use cases based on real practitioner problems and build complete solutions within the platform.
    • Create technical content across video and written formats, owning the process from concept development and execution through final delivery.
    • Demonstrate AI-powered software delivery capabilities in ways that connect directly to developer workflows rather than feature explanations.
    • Operate recording workflows independently, including remote and in-person technical sessions with engineering practitioners and technical leaders.
    • Partner with production teams to improve storytelling, pacing, and presentation quality while maintaining ownership of technical accuracy.
    • Develop new content formats, creative concepts, and engagement strategies to capture developer attention.
    • Use audience insights, performance metrics, and engagement data to refine content direction and prioritize impactful topics.
    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Technical Leadership, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and align messaging.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled content creator with strong experience in developer-focused environments, capable of translating complex engineering concepts into clear and compelling educational experiences.

      • Deep hands-on experience with software delivery, CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, or related technologies, with the ability to design and build technical solutions independently.
      • Familiarity with modern engineering practices including GitOps, progressive delivery, application security, software testing, and engineering performance metrics.
      • Proven portfolio of technical content personally created, including ownership of concept development, execution, recording, and final production.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with technical practitioners and create content that feels authentic to experienced engineering audiences.
      • Strong understanding of developer pain points and the ability to distinguish meaningful solutions from surface-level demonstrations.
      • Self-directed working style with the ability to identify opportunities, create plans, and execute projects independently.
      • Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new formats and approaches to technical storytelling.
      • Comfortable managing recording equipment and producing content in remote or in-person environments.
      • Experience with coding or an engineering background is a strong plus.
      • Previous experience with video production, editing, technical communities, or growing a developer-focused content channel is beneficial.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive salary range of $150,000 - $162,000 USD annually.
        • Potential eligibility for equity compensation as part of the overall package.
        • Comprehensive healthcare benefits.
        • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.
        • Flexible work schedule and remote work environment.
        • Flexible Time Off and parental leave programs.
        • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
        • Monthly internet reimbursement.
        • Regular social activities, team events, and community-building initiatives.
        • Opportunities to grow professionally within an innovative technology environment.
