Braze Solutions Architect (MarTech)

Accountabilities:

The Braze Solutions Architect will own the technical architecture, implementation, and optimization of customer engagement solutions, ensuring the platform supports scalable lifecycle marketing strategies and seamless customer interactions.

• Own the end-to-end architecture and technical implementation of the Braze platform across email, push notifications, SMS, in-app, and web channels.
• Collaborate directly with clients during discovery phases to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and proposals.
• Design and implement integrations between Braze, mobile applications, websites, backend systems, and data platforms.
• Define and optimize event tracking strategies, user attributes, data models, and customer profiles to support lifecycle marketing initiatives.
• Lead the configuration and optimization of Braze Canvases, campaigns, segmentation strategies, and automated customer journeys.
• Develop personalized experiences using Liquid templates, dynamic content, and platform capabilities.
• Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and data teams to translate campaign requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Ensure data quality, platform performance, messaging accuracy, and deliverability across customer engagement channels.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to data ingestion, integrations, campaigns, and message delivery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, data schemas, and implementation standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Braze, providing guidance and best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance automation, personalization, and customer engagement strategies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced MarTech professional with strong expertise in Braze architecture, customer lifecycle automation, and technical integrations. You should be comfortable owning complex solutions and collaborating across business and technical teams.

• 5–8+ years of overall professional experience, including 3–5+ years of hands-on Braze experience in a production environment.
• Strong experience designing and managing Braze data models, including events, custom attributes, and user profiles.
• Proven experience building and optimizing Braze Canvases and lifecycle customer journeys.
• Hands-on experience working with Braze SDKs, APIs, integrations, and technical configurations.
• Solid understanding of MarTech concepts, including customer lifecycle management, segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, product, and data teams.
• Ability to own technical architecture decisions and provide strategic guidance beyond campaign execution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex platform challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Experience documenting technical solutions and implementation processes.

Preferred qualifications:

• Braze certification, such as Admin or Technical certification.
• Experience with Braze Currents, data exports, and advanced reporting workflows.
• Experience integrating Braze with data warehouses, customer data platforms (CDPs), or enterprise data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of deliverability best practices, consent management, and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience as a Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role within MarTech.
