Working closely with analysts, engineers, and business teams, you will help create a trusted data ecosystem that supports impactful decisions.

Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and scale reliable data pipelines from initial requirements gathering through implementation and delivery.
- Develop performant and well-tested data models that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Product, Technology, and other teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Apply data modeling frameworks such as entity tables, event streams, Kimball modeling, and consolidated reporting structures based on business requirements.
- Optimize query performance, monitor pipeline health, and implement data quality processes to ensure trustworthy information.
- Integrate data from multiple domains to create cohesive and reusable reporting structures.
- Document technical solutions, establish best practices, and contribute to improving analytics engineering capabilities across the team.
- Explore and incorporate AI-assisted development tools to improve workflows and engineering efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data-focused roles.
- Strong experience with dbt, including complex projects, materializations, snapshots, variables, macros, and Jinja.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with modern data stack technologies such as dbt Core or dbt Cloud and Git; experience with Redshift is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with analysts, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences and connect data work to business impact.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, improve processes, and take ownership of solutions.
- Interest in leveraging AI tools within development workflows, with experience in AI-assisted development considered an advantage.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Competitive salary range of CA$110,000 – CA$135,000 per year.
