This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Operations Engineer based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to build the next generation of AI-powered internal tools that transform how a fast-growing organization operates.
You will design, develop, and maintain AI agents, integrations, and automation solutions that improve productivity across multiple business functions.
The position combines software engineering, AI experimentation, and operational problem-solving in a highly collaborative environment.
You will work directly with teams across the organization to identify opportunities, turn ideas into scalable solutions, and reduce manual workflows.

Accountabilities:
- Build and ship AI-powered tools, including plugins, skills, MCP connectors, and intelligent agents that automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and operate internal AI agent platforms, including triggers, configurations, integrations, and governed workflows.
- Create reusable components and services using Python and TypeScript/JavaScript to support scalable AI operations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and business applications to streamline processes across departments.
- Maintain and monitor deployed AI solutions, including connectors and internal tool ecosystems, while quickly resolving issues.
- Collaborate directly with teams such as Finance, HR, Sales, Support, and Engineering to deliver tailored automation solutions.
- Translate business requests into technical specifications, prioritize opportunities, and deliver practical solutions with measurable value.
- Promote responsible AI adoption by advocating for effective workflows and helping teams leverage AI tools to improve productivity.
- Support data-related initiatives through SQL queries, reporting, and lightweight analytics when needed.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLM technologies, including Claude, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agents, and prompt/context engineering.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience using Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Proven experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar technologies to improve engineering velocity.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and building reliable, documented services or reusable technical components.
- Strong understanding of security principles when handling sensitive business information through integrations and AI workflows.
- Ability to work independently, define solutions from ambiguous requirements, and make sound technical decisions.
- Experience integrating common SaaS platforms through APIs and automation workflows.
- Ability to work remotely with availability overlapping U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
- Preferred experience with SQL, data modeling, internal tooling, automation engineering, agent frameworks, Anthropic APIs, MCP server development, DNS protocols, or cybersecurity concepts.
- Competitive U.S. base salary range of $130,000 - $145,000 USD.
