Software Engineer II (Java/Go)

What you'll do at Jamf: 

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. You will become a member of a team responsible for critical parts of our Jamf Security Cloud product. Our customers are companies where employees are using Apple devices to access company resources. Our goal is to ensure that this access is private, secure, and easy to use. Our solution consists of microservices written mainly in Java, while some of the future ones will be GO language. The services are running in many data centers across the globe. You will be joining a backend team that takes care of all steps that form the software development lifecycle. 

We are looking for a person who strives to deliver a high-quality product. To achieve this, you will not only need to master the writing of the code itself but also be able to communicate with your peers effectively in the mixed in-person and remote environment of today.

This role is offered as a hybrid. We are only able to accept applications for those based in the Czech Republic and have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic. #LI-Hybrid

• Independently complete a majority of identified tasks from start to finish with high quality. 

• Use your knowledge of the product to mentor others. 

• Use your knowledge of Engineering best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems, and build great software. 

• Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud). 

• When you don’t know the solution, seek out the appropriate people in the organization for advice. 

• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and purpose of the organization.

What we are looking for: 

• Min. 3 years of experience developing enterprise-grade software with an understanding of testing and quality assurance processes 

• Knowledge or experience with development in Go/Java + Spring Boot. 

• Knowledge of SOLID principles.

• Experience working within an agile organization. 

• Understanding of build systems such as Github Actions or Jenkins. 

• Solution-focused ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

• Willingness to learn.
