Senior Software Engineer (Python / Django)

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django
• Develop and maintain robust APIs and backend services
• Design and optimize database solutions and data models
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments

 Some Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of professional Python development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Django development experience
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and web application development
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade applications
• Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, and software design principles
• Experience with automated testing and modern software development practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical projects
• Strong communication skills and English fluency (written and verbal)

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
