The Application Development Summer Intern will assist the Materials and Inventory Control departments in providing support within the assigned functional area.  In addition, you may be assigned specific projects either as part of, or in addition to, the day-to-day activities related to the assignment with output monitored frequently. 

IN YOUR CO-OP ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Carry out to completion specific projects assigned by the Project or Department Manager.
  • Flexible work schedule given potential deadlines.
  • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & TECHNICAL SKILLS - REQUIRED

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate college student in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree majoring in a field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access Database including Forms/Queries/Macros.
  • Excellent debugging skills and the ability to comprehend source code usage and functionality.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Good listening skills and patience with persons / individuals with limited knowledge of programming and associated terminology.
  • Advanced reading, writing and math skills.
  • Advanced PC skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS - DESIRED

  • Experience with Visual Basic Analysis (VBA) Language and developer tools.
  • Understanding of SQL Language and basic concepts such as triggers, primary and foreign keys, joins – Inner, Outer, Righthand.
  • Experience with VisualStudio using the following languages: C# and VB.
  • Understanding of Object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
