JOB SUMMARY
Support the development of business processes and launch of new business through coordination with multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Development of technical documentation for repair, service and business processes.
· Expert knowledge in MS Excel, Visio, Word and experience with MS Project.
· Interface with different Departments to define program requirements.
· Create process flows for repair and business processes and procedures.
· Ensure that current and future processes and systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
· Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Act as a liaison between Jabil sites for program transfers including providing input into transfer plans and timelines, supporting data, technology, process and procedural requirements as well as knowledge transfer activities and participating in launch activities as needed. Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or Workcell startups.
· Provide mentoring and technical assistance to Jabil site manufacturing engineering staff.
· Support standardization of systems, procedures and practices across all of the Jabil workcells.
· Ensure that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirement.
· Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or workcell startups.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Screwing:
- Proficient in using various screwdriving tools, both manual and automated. Must be able to accurately and efficiently screw components together, ensuring proper torque levels are met. This includes working with different types of screws, such as machine screws, self - tapping screws, and security screws, in a variety of materials like plastic, metal, and composite materials.
- Understand the importance of screw placement and alignment to guarantee the structural integrity and functionality of the assembled products.
- Assembly:
- Have extensive experience in the assembly of complex electronic products. This involves the ability to read and interpret detailed assembly diagrams and instructions, and to assemble multiple components in the correct sequence.
- Be skilled in handling delicate electronic parts, such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), integrated circuits, and sensors, without causing damage.
- Familiar with different assembly techniques, such as snap - fitting, press - fitting, and riveting, and be able to choose the appropriate method based on the product requirements.
- Gluing:
- Knowledgeable about different types of adhesives used in electronics manufacturing, including epoxy, cyanoacrylate, and silicone adhesives.
- Be able to apply adhesives precisely, following the specified bonding area and thickness requirements. Understand the curing times and environmental conditions needed for different adhesives to ensure strong and reliable bonds.
- Have experience in handling adhesive dispensing equipment, such as manual and automated glue guns, and be able to troubleshoot common gluing issues like uneven application and excessive glue squeeze - out.
- Automation Equipment Operation:
- Have hands - on experience in operating automated assembly equipment, such as pick - and - place machines, robotic screwdrivers, and automated gluing systems.
- Be able to program and set up these machines to perform specific assembly tasks, adjusting parameters such as speed, position, and force to ensure optimal performance.
- Understand the basic principles of automation control systems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and robotic programming languages.
- Automation Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing automated assembly processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Propose and implement solutions to optimize the use of automation equipment, such as integrating new sensors or modifying the machine's operating sequence.
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the automated assembly lines.
- Quality Assurance:
- Follow strict quality control procedures during the assembly process, ensuring that all products meet or exceed the required quality standards.
- Conduct in - process inspections to identify and rectify any assembly defects promptly. Have a good understanding of quality management systems. like IATF,VDA6.3
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science (MS & MBA would be a preferred.)
- ASQ (or equivalent) certified Six Sigma Blackbelt (Master Black Belt would be preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in campus technical leadership.
