Why We Need you!

 

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance efforts for the Ivanti User Workspace Manager on-premises products. In this role, you will work closely with a team of experienced engineers to ensure the User Workspace Manager products' stability, scalability, and security. Your focus will be on bug fixes, security vulnerability work, customer feature requests and implementing shift-left testing strategies to uphold the high quality of our releases.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using C++ (17+), C#, and .Net.
• Utilize SQL for database management, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Implement and manage complex multithreading operations to improve application efficiency and responsiveness.
• Develop and maintain Windows applications leveraging WinApi, ensuring seamless integration with Windows OS components.
• Use Standard Template Library (STL) effectively to enhance application performance and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and support, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing software applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends relevant to software maintenance, bug fixes, security vulnerabilities, and testing strategies.  

 

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (17+), with extensive knowledge of modern C++ features and best practices.
• Solid experience with C# and .Net framework.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Proven experience with Windows API (WinApi) and Windows system programming.
• Expertise in multithreading and concurrency patterns.
• Proficiency with the Standard Template Library (STL).
• Strong problem-solving skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in bug fixing, addressing security vulnerabilities, and implementing shift-left testing strategies.

 

These Are An Added Plus:

• Experience in web application programming with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
