  Position Summary:

  We’re looking for someone who is strong in C++ with experience in C++14 or newer preferred. If you happen to have Linux domain knowledge or know Objective-C or Swift, too, even better! Being familiar with Windows and Mac or Linux is exactly what we need. You’ll be a part of an excellent team of developers and Product Managers who care about doing the right things for the market and the company.

  Essential Job Duties:

• Develop functional or object-oriented software with intelligent, automated tests.

• Convert customer problems into software solutions.

• Keep up with the industry evolution of Operating Systems and platforms.

• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers.

• Contribute or lead product design, system analysis, debug tasks, root cause analysis, and support for assigned products.

• Prepare technical documentation of complex product sub-systems.

• Regularly provide accurate estimate effort to complete assigned work.

• Help the larger team when needed.

  Qualifications:

• 5+ years in software development

• The ability to know if you should use OOP or functional approaches to a given problem.

• C++14 or newer preferred. Must be familiar with modern memory management and security

  concepts.

• Native Windows development knowledge (Win32 API, system security models)

• Some Linux system knowledge (package management, service model, ‘the Linux way’)

• Ability to communicate and get stuff done in the work from anywhere environment.

• Python knowledge or ability to learn it quickly desired

  Preferred:

• macOS - Swift/Objective-C and macOS knowledge

• Ability to solve problems efficiently (aka finding the lazy solution instead of wasting your time)

• Knowledge and tolerance of agile software concepts

• Expertise in software design patterns

• Red Hat, CentOS, SuSE, Ubuntu, Oracle Enterprise Linux

• Linux package management

• Experience with multi-platform/multi-distribution development

• Jenkins or containerized build systems

• Computer Science degree
