Senior DevEx Engineer - Core group

As a Senior DevEx Engineer at Island, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our core developers to improve their cadence, effectiveness and quality using cutting-edge technologies, working on top of one of the largest open-source code bases - Chromium.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing a high-quality CI pipeline and monitoring tools to ensure the stability and security of our product.

Some key responsibilities for this position include:

• Making development on top of Chromium efficient and seamless for low level developers.
• Develop and maintain our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient releases
• Work closely with developers to empower the dev experience on various operating systems - Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS
• Design, implement, and maintain our production infrastructure, including our multi-cloud-based systems and servers
• Utilizing cloud technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes to deploy and scale Island’s product
• Building and maintaining monitoring tools to ensure the stability and security of our product
• Collaborating with the team to identify and troubleshoot issues in the production environment

• 5+ years of experience as a DevEx or DevOps Engineer, preferably in a startup environment
• Experience with at least two of these languages: Python/C/C++/Groovy
• Strong skills with a variety of DevOps monitoring and alerting tools
• Low-level background and solid operating system knowledge with a passion to os internals
• Service-oriented attitude, team player, fast self-learning individual, and problem solver
• Experience with Agents or Endpoint product pipelines, installation, packaging, signing, and distribution - Huge advantage!
