Senior C++ Engineer - Networking Solutions

What you’ll do:

• Be part of an R&D group of tech-savvy professionals responsible for end-to-end feature development, from research and design to production.
• Dive deep into the intricacies of network protocols and performance, developing solutions for real-world enterprise problems and enhancing customer security and productivity.
• Work closely with product teams, web developers, security experts, and field engineers to advance Island’s solutions.
• React and interact with real customers, addressing real enterprise challenges and ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

What you need to have:

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on software development experience in Golang and/or modern C++/Rust.
• Deep understanding of networking & systems internals.
• Experienced with low-level design practices.
• Experience with developing large-scale, real-time multi-platform systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, SSL), routing, and network performance optimizations.
• 'Can-do, tackle any challenge head-on' attitude

We’d love it if you have:

• Good understanding of network topologies and infrastructure.
• Experience with network security practices and technologies.
• Understanding of web browsing concepts like sandboxing, profiles, CSP, certificate handling, etc.
• Experience with cloud native technologies and architecture
