The Role

What You'll Do

• Own multiple concurrent deployments across accounts, regions, and project types. You'll be the internal authority on the state of each of them.
• Set the deployment strategy for each account, including timeline, device count, crew composition, on-site infrastructure, and success metrics.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for GC leadership and self-perform executives across your portfolio.

• Walk any of our jobsites and diagnose what's happening at every layer: crew adoption, hardware performance, connectivity, data quality, upload reliability, and integration with the contractor's own workflows.
• Solve the hard problems FDEs escalate to you. You're the person who figures out what to do when nothing in the playbook applies.
• Drive continuous improvement in how Ironsite deploys, including new site setups, new hardware form factors, new device workflows, and new integration approaches with contractor systems.

• Mentor and level up Deployment Operators as we scale from a handful of markets to a nationwide field motion.
• Establish and enforce the operational standards that keep the entire field team consistent, professional, and effective.
• Hire alongside our recruiting team, and help identify the next generation of field leaders as we grow.

• Synthesize what's happening across your portfolio into structured insights our Hardware, Engineering, and AI teams can act on.
• Partner directly with product and engineering leadership on the biggest deployment-facing product decisions, including hardware roadmap, integration priorities, and workforce experience.
• Represent the field voice in every strategic conversation that touches how Ironsite gets deployed.

What We're Looking For

• 6-12 years of construction field experience in senior roles: superintendent, general superintendent, senior project engineer, or similar. You've run large crews on complex projects and you've done it well.
• Broad and deep expertise across trades. You can walk any commercial or industrial jobsite, on any trade, and understand exactly what's happening in front of you at an expert level.
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, or accounts. You can hold context across sites without losing the thread.
• Comfort operating at the intersection of construction and technology. You've either worked at a construction tech company before, run technology adoption programs inside a large contractor, or have hands-on experience deploying field technology at scale.
• Strong technical fluency. You don't need to write code, but you need to understand hardware, connectivity, networking, and software workflows well enough to lead the technical side of a deployment and to have credible conversations with our engineering teams.
• Wide availability to travel. Managing multiple accounts requires frequent travel across markets, sometimes on short notice.
• Physically able to perform the hands-on work a deployment demands, including climbing ladders, working at height to install connectivity hardware, and lifting equipment cases.
• Exceptional communication skills across every audience. You can present to a GC's C-suite in the morning, mentor a junior FDE at lunch, and troubleshoot with a foreman in the afternoon.
• High autonomy and sound judgment. You'll be making calls that affect accounts worth millions in revenue, and you'll be doing it in real time on the ground.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically without restriction.

• Bilingual (English / Spanish). A large share of the crews we work with are Spanish-speaking, and being able to communicate directly with the workforce materially changes adoption.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep familiarity with scheduling, WBS or cost-code structures, and labor productivity analysis.
• OSHA 30 or higher.
• Experience with field IT, networking, or field-deployed hardware programs (Starlink, cellular, mesh, IoT).
• Comfort with data tools such as spreadsheets, SQL, or light scripting to make sense of your portfolio

What Success Looks Like

• First 60 days. You've walked every active Ironsite deployment, know each account's status cold, and have identified the top 3 improvements we should make to our deployment playbook.
• First 6 months. You're an internal authority on how Ironsite deploys. Multiple accounts are running under your leadership, our Deployment Operators are visibly better because of your mentorship, and your field observations have shaped at least one meaningful product decision.
• First 12 months. You've helped scale the field team, expanded Ironsite's operational footprint into new markets, and become one of the most important senior leaders on the Operations team.

Location, Compensation, & Perks

• Base salary: $130k-$180k per year, commensurate with experience and location
