Job Description

Primary Function of Position

This position is accountable for providing cross-functional project management on behalf of the Marketing Automation Team and serves as the primary liaison between ISI's Marketing and Product teams and the Marketing Automation team. With the development of Email and Event campaigns in Marketo, the Marketo Project Manager identifies service strategies, service requirements, risks, deliverables, schedules, and drives the cross-functional effort to execute those Email and Event campaigns to the project plan. This position aligns with upstream/downstream business partners and agencies.

Essential Job Duties

  • Successfully manage commitments to our Global (US, EU, and APAC) stakeholders by maintaining close communications and coordination so that we meet the project goals and deadlines.
  • Successfully manage Marketing Automation Planning & Performance, optimize workloads, evaluate risks, resolve roadblocks, generate a sense of urgency where needed, and execute projects with minimal incidents, resulting in successful project outcomes.
  • Manage new Request types based on expanding business requirements and integrate them into our work management processes.
  • Manage the Marketo ISU Training Modules. (Marketo Overview, Workfront & Email Best Practices) and future learning modules.
  • Perform analysis and support dashboards that represent our requests, workloads, schedules, or utilization.
  • Identify process improvements to the Workfront Project Management system, forms, processes, templates, or data and work with the Workfront developers as our Marketo PM Experience Manager.
  • Own the Workfront Marketo Request form enhancements that affect the stakeholder experience. 
  • Optimize the Request, Project, and Task tracking analytics to insure we have good data quality.
  • Create project templates for streamlined project management.
  • Work to solve the Workfront calendar audience data (2 day/5 week), where we have a better understanding on email volumes by specialty and region.
  • Develop new ISU training modules as needed by collaborating with team members on their job areas and processes.
  • Direct new stakeholders to use our central ISU training modules to improve our stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Develop Marketo engagement playbook or other templates to structure how the Marketo team works with its stakeholders ensuring a repeatable process with new stakeholders.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Projects with Workfront and Analytics (Workfront/Tableau)

Required Education and Training

  • PMP certification desired
  • Minimum B.S. degree
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience supporting complex teams in a project management capacity preferably in a capital equipment (medical devices and/or robotics desired/preferred), environment.
  • Ability to promote ideas persuasively, influence others, and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal partners and business leaders.
  • An independent thinker willing and able to express and support a point of view.
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively, connecting the dots when others cannot. Able to make the leap from information to insight.
  • Has a quick intelligence, is fast on their feet and quickly responds to issues and questions.
  • Can organize, summarize, clarify, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly, and accurately to technical and non-technical audiences and leadership levels.
  • Capable of maintaining a rapid pace, moves at a nice clip and enjoys having multiple projects going at once.  Can change course, be scrappy and get things done on short timeframes.

Working Conditions

  • The Marketo Project manager works remotely supporting stakeholders globally. The position calls for regular Zoom calls to sync and coordinate workloads.
  • Regularly meeting with Stakeholders and the Marketo Team in the pursuit of executing their campaigns on time.
  • This position is designated as purposefully on site and requires periodically working in the office. 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a regulated environment; familiar with Medical Device Regulations – CFR & ISO requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation Systems
