Job Description
Primary Function of Position
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Enablement team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Professional Education and Program Services (PEPS) department, focusing on reviewing data to uncover insights that drive data-driven decision-making, building dynamic reports, and developing insights for the adoption of new technologies and platforms. This role will play a key part in helping the organization monitor the state of the business, optimize growth strategies, and improve operational efficiency.
Essential Job Duties
- Work closely with Data Science to help the PEPS department in implementing data solutions that improve the business's ability to anticipate trends and make proactive recommendations.
- Research large and complex datasets to uncover patterns and insights that inform strategic and operational recommendations within the PEPS department to ultimately establish the state-of-the-business.
- Aid in the development of predictive and prescriptive models to help forecasting, and optimization of business processes, outlining opportunities for growth and efficiency across each business unit.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop data products and tools that help the adoption of new technologies and business intelligence solutions.
- Work closely with data engineers, finance, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of data science models into business intelligence platforms.
- Present clear, actionable insights to collaborators, offering recommendations for performance improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Exceptional data and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data.
- Proficiency in building dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with data querying languages (SQL) and working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data manipulation and research.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
- University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
- Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
Required Education and Training
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Working Conditions
- Travel up to 10%
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Engaged experience in building and deploying machine learning models
- Knowledge of web-based applications and web security best practices

The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
