Job description
Intric is hiring a Security Engineer — a full-time, based in Stockholm role. Apply directly on Intric's careers page below.
Intric is building sovereign AI infrastructure for public sector organisations that handle sensitive data. Security isn't a feature we sell around, it's the foundation the whole product rests on.
As the first dedicated security hire, you'd own that foundation: assessing what's there, closing what's missing, and building the discipline that lets the company scale confidently into new markets.
What you'll do:
Assess the current security posture and establish visibility across cloud and air-gapped on-prem infrastructure.
Conduct a threat and risk assessment and turn it into a prioritised roadmap agreed with the team.
Close the highest-priority security gaps
Build incident response processes the team can rely on.
Own security as a company-wide discipline , keeping policies current and engineering decisions coordinated.
Own BSI C5 readiness from the security and infrastructure side as the company expands in Germany, and maintain existing ISO coverage.
Who you are:
You have hands-on experience with SIEM systems and Kubernetes security.
You prioritise by risk, work through what matters most first, and don't spread effort thin.
You've done compliance work before and can drive it, not just support someone else doing it.
You're comfortable being the first person in a function, setting the agenda from scratch rather than inheriting one.
Why join
Security at Intric is consequential in a way it rarely is elsewhere. The product exists because customers need somewhere they can trust with sensitive data, and this person is responsible for that trust being real. You would be the one setting the direction rather than inheriting someone else's decisions.
About Intric
Europe's public sector is facing its biggest challenge in generations. A shrinking workforce must deliver more services to more people, and the gap grows every year. Intric exists to close it. We bring modern AI to the organisations that keep society running, and in doing so, we're defining how public services will work for decades to come.
We value ownership, high standards, and thoughtful execution. Titles matter less than contribution. If you see something that can be improved, you take initiative. If something is unclear, you ask questions. If a customer faces a challenge, you lean in.
We combine ambition with collaboration. We move fast, but we care deeply about doing things right. As we continue scaling across Europe, every team member plays a meaningful role in shaping both the company and the culture.
