Together with our partner we are looking for 

Forward Deployed Engineer

to join Ringier’s data-driven technology team. This is a customer-oriented role that blends business understanding with strong technical expertise. As an FDE, you will work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs, design solutions, and deliver them quickly and efficiently. You will translate business requirements into technical implementations, leveraging Palantir Foundry & AIP as a backend service to create scalable, stateless functions and full-stack solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with customers to understand their business needs, data requirements, and how they want to consume data.

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implement them rapidly.

• Use Palantir Foundry to build applications and backend services, creating stateless functions accessible outside of the platform.

• Develop full-stack solutions that integrate with existing systems and support diverse consumption models.

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, and performance.

• Troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a similar technical role, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

• Palantir Foundry Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise with the Palantir Foundry platform, including demonstrable experience with:

• Ontology Manager.

• Workshop for application building.

• Code Repositories and Code Workbook for data transformation and analysis.

• Understanding of platform governance.

• Palantir AIP Experience: Proven experience or strong demonstrable interest in utilising Palantir AIP to build and deploy AI-powered solutions, agents, or copilots.

• Data Engineering Skills: Expert-level proficiency in building and optimising data pipelines using PySpark. Experience with modern, high-performance data frameworks like Polars or DuckDB is a significant advantage.

• Core Technical Skills:

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

• Solid understanding of backend development, REST API design, and stateless architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD principles.

• Business Acumen: Ability to rapidly understand business contexts, work directly with non-technical stakeholders, and translate their needs into robust technical requirements.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
