About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and front-end teams to define technical requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring system reliability
• Integrate with databases, message queues, and third-party services
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
• Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Practical knowledge of Microservices architecture and design patterns
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is a plus
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (preferred)
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Good understanding of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Good to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Circuit Breaker patterns
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
