Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the COM and the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Field Security Officer, the Field Security Associate will assist in the implementation and coordination of security- and administration-related services and tasks to ensure the high quality and accuracy of work within the Security office. 

The Field Security Associate promotes a client, quality, and results-oriented approach while performing crucial operational functions. Additionally, the incumbent will continue to play a major role in implementing recommendations stemming from the audit of the IOM Safety & Security function. The Field Security Associate works closely with the other Local Security Assistants within the mission and with the Senior Field Security Officer. He/she maintains professional working relationships with other UN agency staff to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.
