Join an advanced CPU Si debug tool development team. Our tool is a preferred one among debuggers and is often used to root cause failures that no other debug tool would be capable of assisting with. We are seeking a candidate with computer science or engineering background to contribute to the development, validation and Si enabling of the new generation of the debug tool. The position provides a broad exposure to the entire lifecycle of a product and involves working with CPU architects and designers, FW developers, pre-Si validators and post-Si debuggers. The candidate should have knowledge and experience of SW development, scripting, debugging, computer architecture, digital logic, and microprocessors. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Participating in definition of the new generation of the debug tool
- Participating in development and validation
- Triaging and debugging failures exposed by validation
- Supporting Si debuggers by providing expert advice, debugging tool failures
- Implementing SW tools for test coverage detection and tracking
- Creative problem solving
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field with relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of combined experience in:
- Computer architecture
- Experience in software development, testing, and debug
- Development in one of the commonly used scripting languages (Python, Perl)
- Experience with tools for software version control and bug tracking
- Operating in Unix environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- x86 Assembly
- C/C++
- Post-silicon debug and analysis
- Hardware modeling language, such as Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog and industry standard logic simulation tools
- Test writing/generation, coverage analysis, failure debug, root cause analysis
- Proactive
- Tolerance and ability to work with ambiguity
- Desire to learn and take initiative
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$146,520.00-$206,860.00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
