Intel LTD Lithography is hiring a qualified individual to coordinate Lithography scanner equipment installation and deinstallation in the Oregon factory. The project manager will be responsible for coordinating and executing the entire EUV scanner installation and de-installation process from start-to-finish and provide expert procedural guidance and specifications for remote manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the entire scope of lithography tool installations, from design and facilities pre-fac to the troubleshooting of technical, mechanical problems encountered during installation related to vendor and trades issues. In the role, the hire will spend considerable time observing the overall install (or demo) process and work to identify and solve problems at all stages as they are encountered to minimize schedule impacts.

In the role, the project manager will oversee tool move-in and dock coordination, using creative and aggressive problem-solving skills and flexibility to remove roadblocks and maintain challenging and inflexible schedules. The candidate should have experience with the use of overhead gantry cranes in order to observe and address safety or operational issues that arise from their use by trades and vendors using overhead equipment. The candidate will need to employ good communication skills to escalate and solve problems with all stakeholders including vendor, construction workers, Intel Oregon engineers and remote factory counterparts.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor the overall EUV preinstall/install/demo processes and work to identify problems and drive improvements at all stages, optimize processes and share learning

  • Preside over construction, dock, install and deinstall activities on a daily bases

  • Employ creative problem solving and flexibility with engineering judgement to interpret, troubleshoot, and promptly resolve construction issues to maintain and improve schedule

  • Identify and escalate issues to vendors, construction and stakeholders

  • Own overhead gantry crane maintenance, repairs, and training, included shared learning across sites

  • Participate in facility design packages and oversee requirements with key stakeholders to ensure Safety, Quality, and Process Capability requirements are met. Accurately convey construction requirements to design, vendor, and trade personnel

  • Read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and structural schematics

  • Facilitate multilayered safety inspections, including but not limited to electrical/chemical safety, system interlocks, and equipment commissioning

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Candidate must possess the following:

  • BS or equivalent/higher degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 10+ years experience with Lithography scanner installation and deinstallation

  • 2+ years experience with project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience with EUV platforms

  • Previous experience with clean-room Gantry cranes

  • Proven track record of success with complex EUV equipment design, installation, de-installation issues

  • Previous leadership of safety and quality improvement initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, design and implement solutions to engineering problems
