Data Engineer / PostgreSQL DBA

Overview

Integral Federal is seeking a Data Engineer / PostgreSQL DBA to administer, sustain, optimize, and protect JPES/JCRM data environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer PostgreSQL/EDB databases.

• Perform database tuning and performance analysis.

• Manage schemas, indexes, queries, and database configurations.

• Support backup, restore, and recovery.

• Maintain data integrity and availability.

• Support database security and STIG remediation.

• Troubleshoot database and data-exchange issues.

• Support data mapping, migration, and integration activities.

Qualifications

Required:

 

• BA/ BS in an engineering discipline. Additional four years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

• 6+ years database engineering/administration experience.

• Strong PostgreSQL experience.

• Advanced SQL.

• Backup/recovery and performance tuning.

• Database troubleshooting and security.

• U.S. citizenship and required Secret eligibility.

Preferred:

• EDB PostgreSQL.

• Oracle familiarity.

• Cloud-hosted databases.

• DoD/classified environments.

 

Salary range: $130,000-$160,000

 

This position is in the proposal stage. The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
