Software Engineer Intern

As a Software Engineering Intern you will work amongst a highly skilled and passionate team of engineers coding the systems which process billions of programmatic advertising events to analyze the financial impact of waste and fraud on advertising campaigns.

This is a full-time, 10-week internship running from June 2 to August 8, 2025, and the pay is $30/hour. Applications are due by April 7, 2025

What you’ll get to do:

• Work on backend and frontend technologies to build cool features with Java and Spring Framework in the backend and React in the frontend.
• Work with software engineers to analyze, design, code, debug, test, document, and deploy changes to the system using automated CI/CD system in a Kubernetes environment
• Participate in sprint meetings and daily stand-ups
• Attend intern activities designed to allow you to develop your skills, better understand your career interests and identify opportunities for future employment
• Network with other interns and IAS employees

Who you are and what you have:

• A rising senior actively working towards obtaining a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field looking for a full-time position upon graduation
• Relevant coursework, and interest, in build, test, automation, and DevOps frameworks
• Experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java/Kotlin/Scala, C#, Go or Python as well as proficiency in Linux
• Basic understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
• Effective time management skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Experience working with Git/Github/Gitlab

What puts you over the top:

• Some practical experience working on AWS and basic concepts of Kubernetes or containers in general.
• Some practical experience developing backend with Java and Spring Framework and/or developing frontend with React Framework
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with columnar datastores
