FullStack Engineer Trainee

Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry and we’re looking for a FullStack Engineer Trainee to join our Data Science team. If you are excited by technology that has the power to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second; collect tens of billions of events each day; and evaluate thousands of data-points in real-time all while responding in just a few milliseconds, then IAS is the place for you!

As a FullStack Engineer Trainee, you will work within the Data Science organization inside the Machine Learning Excellence team to help us design & implement an extra large data processing pipeline. You will tackle challenges involving analyzing years of video data per day, extracting meaningful insights to influence the digital advertising landscape. You will be building a cost effective extra large scale multimedia processing system on a GPU enabled cluster. 

This trainee is ideal for a high level junior engineer to learn and deploy your skills from micro-service coding to infrastructure design at scale in the cloud. You will be working in a collaborative and agile environment to solve a complex problem using innovative solutions with a desire to improve the status quo. The role is not just about enhancing your skill set; it's about making a tangible impact on the technology that powers our core data analysis solution, offering a unique blend of learning, innovation, and growth.

What you’ll get to do:

• Design & develop a scalable and maintainable data pipeline able to handle billions of computation a day in a Machine Learning environment at scale.
• Optimize existing multimedia data pipelines for efficiency and speed, using frameworks like Kubernetes, Ray.io or Nvidia Triton.
• Collaborate with a team of experts to develop scalable video processing pipelines.
• Contribute to the research and application of state-of-the-art techniques in ML and AI at scale to solve real-world challenges.
• Participate in the entire lifecycle of productionizing ML at scale, from concept to deployment and monitoring.

You should apply if you have most of this experience: 

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong experience in Python programming & object oriented programming in general
• Knowledges in Linux system administration & optimization
• Familiarity with Ops at scale using frameworks like Kubernetes, Ray.io clusters or Spark clusters.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in solving complex problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

What puts you over the top:

• Previous experience or projects related to large scale data processing optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
