Position Overview:
This position will be primarily responsible in testing various web applications newly developed. The position will be directly involved in working with an automation framework for testing the web software and API services. This position will eventually be developing automated tests in conjunction with the development efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Build test frameworks and methodologies that will define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
• Develop and execute test suite for Web application
• Develop and execute test suite for API service application
• Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
• Develop and maintain test database for automated validation test of software revisions.
• Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams
• Participate in product design reviews.
• Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field; 5+ years of experience in software design and software testing; 5+ years hands on experience in testing web based and mobile software applications.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Strong software skills required, including Java, Junit or TestNG
• Deep knowledge of Android technology stack
• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, REST, SOAP
• Proficiency with source control, continuous integration and testing methods (i.e., Git)
• Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
• In depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation a plus.
