Position Overview:

Insulet is looking for a self-motivated intern to be part of a DevOps team working to continuously improve product quality and software team efficiency. DevOps works with cross-functional teams, including systems, software, and test teams in supporting new product development and existing product maintenance.

 

This position will also assist with the implementation of software development tools to improve the overall quality of software, including peer reviews, software hazard analysis, requirements traceability, software code analysis/code coverage, defect tracking, software metrics, configuration management, software supplier quality, and software tool validations.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in setup and automation of CI/CD pipelines for product applications and cloud-based services.
• Develop scripts to automate manual tasks which improve engineering processes.
• Contribute to manage critical engineering applications and infrastructure in collaboration with IT

• Support efforts to identify, evaluate, and introduce new tools for continuous improvement
• Performs other duties as required

 

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering

 

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Experience working in a command-line environment (Linux/Ubuntu/MacOS)
• Experience programming with scripting languages (Bash/Python)
• Experience working with software development teams
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Skills considered as a plus:
  • Experience with Linux/Ubuntu system administration
  • Experience with Jenkins to build CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience programming using REST APIs
  • Experience with software development involving Android/iOS applications
  • Experience with software development using AWS infrastructure/services
  • Experience with AWS CLI

 

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

• Ability to engage with team in a virtual workplace environment via Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to travel to US locations (San Diego) for on-site work.

Additional Information:

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $25.00 - $34.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
