Engineering Intern

As an Engineering Intern at Instawork, you will be an integral member of our Product Engineering team, building and maintaining features used by our millions of users. We are specifically looking for interns to help us build new AI-based features that leverage state-of-the-art LLMs and machine learning techniques. Interns will receive mentorship to improve their software engineering skills and to learn how to run, monitor, and maintain production applications at scale. Each intern completes and presents a portfolio-worthy project at the end of the internship.

What You’ll Do:

• Work as part of our Product Engineering team to update our applications (web/mobile) and backend.
• Work on projects that leverage the latest AI/ML technologies
• Ship to production from Day 1
• Learn new skills through mentorship from senior engineers

Who You Are:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Completed courses in Software Engineering, CS fundamentals, AI/Machine Learning
• Experience using Python, AWS, Docker, and databases to build web applications.
• Able to work in San Francisco

For CA based applicants:

• The monthly pay rate for this position is $6,000 - $7,500

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
