The Offer:

We are looking for motivated and curious individuals to join our team in Paris as AI Research Engineer Interns. In this role, you will tackle complex industry challenges by researching, developing, and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. This position will allow you to work with advanced AI techniques including deep Reinforcement Learning (RL), Large Language Models (LLMs) in various applications such as railway transportation, bin packing, chemistry, biology and robotics. 

This posting encompasses multiple internship topics. Specific areas of focus will be discussed during the interview process to match your interests and skills with our needs. Here are examples of topics: 

- Model-based RL for Chemical Reactions
- Leveraging LLM to write RL Environment
- Reinforcement Learning for Protein Design 
- Vision-based Reinforcement Learning for Robotics
- Graph Neural Networks for AlphaZero on Industrial Optimization problems
- Model-based planning RL for Bin packing problem
- Reinforcement Learning for Airport Operations Optimization
- Single-Agent RL for train routing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with InstaDeep's vibrant research and engineering teams. 
  • Translate academic literature findings into practical implementations for the designated problem.
  • Drive the project from ideation to realization, ensuring optimization of the solution. 
  • Engage deeply with the chosen problem, utilizing a range of AI techniques as appropriate. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of your contributions.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a M.S./Ph.D. program in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field. 
  • A good foundation in deep learning, more specifically: reinforcement learning, LLMs and related fields. 
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, Tensorflow and Jax. 
  • Team collaboration capabilities. 
  • Outstanding communication skills and English Proficiency.
