Why This Role Exists

Innovapptive Innovapptive is scaling its product and engineering capabilities and requires a strong Quality Engineering leader to build a robust, scalable, and automation-first quality framework.

Current quality processes need to evolve toward full automation, performance reliability, and security-first testing to support enterprise-grade customers.

You will define and lead the QE vision—ensuring high product quality, faster releases, and scalable testing infrastructure across mobile, web, and cloud environments.

What You Own

• QE Technical Vision & Strategy: Define the long-term technical roadmap for quality engineering across the entire SDLC, shifting quality left.
• Test Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly reliable automation frameworks for complex Mobile (iOS/Android), Web, and API ecosystems.
• Performance & Scale Infrastructure: Architect the strategy and infrastructure for performance, load, and scalability testing in high-volume enterprise SaaS environments.
• Security & Vulnerability Testing: Build security testing practices and static/dynamic analysis tools directly into the development and build cycles.
• CI/CD Integration: Design and optimize continuous testing pipelines within CI/CD for instant feedback loops and zero-friction deployments.
• Tooling & R&D: Evaluate, prototype, and implement cutting-edge commercial and open-source testing tools, including AI-driven testing capabilities.
• Technical Mentorship: Act as the ultimate technical authority for the QE team, mentoring engineers on advanced automation patterns, code quality, and system design.

You Must Have

• 12+ years in QA/QE roles within SaaS or product-based companies, with at least 4+ years strictly operating as a QA/QE Architect or Principal Engineer.
• Deep Architectural Expertise: Proven track record of designing and implementing custom, enterprise-grade automation frameworks from scratch (not just maintaining existing ones).
• Cross-Platform Mastery: Deep technical experience in Mobile QA (Android/iOS native/hybrid apps), Web applications, and microservices/API testing patterns.
• Cloud Infrastructure (AWS): Robust experience architecting test environments, mocking services, and managing test data within AWS environments (EC2, S3, CloudWatch).

• API Automation: Node.js, REST Assured, or equivalent programmatic testing.
• Frontend/Mobile Automation: Deep code-level mastery of Selenium, Appium, and modern JS frameworks (Cypress/Playwright).
• Languages & UI Frameworks: Comfortable parsing and working alongside application code written in Angular, React.js, and Express.js.
• CI/CD Experts: Extensive experience configuring and tuning test execution inside Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• System Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and modern software design patterns.

• Experience in industrial SaaS or enterprise platforms
• Exposure to security testing frameworks and vulnerability assessments
• Experience with modern test orchestration and observability tools
• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Shift-left and continuous testing practices

• Pipeline Efficiency: Time-to-feedback metrics within the CI/CD pipeline for engineering teams.
• Platform Resiliency: Accuracy and robustness of performance, load, and security benchmarks before release.
• Technical Upskilling: Measurable growth in the technical and coding capabilities of the broader QE team.
