Job Description

This role is office-based in Mexico. The role requires professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

Position Summary:

The Senior Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solutions within the platform. This role involves advanced customization, integration, and maintenance of the environment, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business requirements. The Senior Developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide technical leadership to junior developers.

Primary Accountabilities:

Development and Customization:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex solutions within the platform, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automations.

  • Perform advanced customization of the platform, including UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and script includes.

  • Develop and maintain integrations between and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and other integration methods.

  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications and integrations.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and consistency.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of development standards and best practices.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest features, releases, and technologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, weekly stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Operational Support:

  • Provide support for requests, incidents, changes and problems.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor performance and identify areas for optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in development and implementation.

  • Strong architectural understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) as well as Service Portfolio Management (SPM).

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.

  • Experience with APIs and integration methods.

  • Expertise in implementing and optimizing ITIL aligned processes to enhance service management.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific Technical Skills Needed:

  • Must have experience in ITOM or ITAM (HAM and SAM) implementation.

  • Extensive experience with scripting, workflows, and integrations.

  • Administration and New Application Implementation.

  • Proficiency in Security and Access Control (ACLs / Roles).
