Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Location: Bengaluru, India

About the Role

At Inito, we’re building the future of personalized healthcare through innovative technology and deep domain expertise. As a Senior Backend Developer, you’ll play a critical role in developing scalable systems and backend services that power our health diagnostics platform. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable backend infrastructure, integrate APIs, and support the evolution of our products.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that support both user-facing and internal tools
  • Develop secure and performant APIs to support our web, mobile applications and backend workflows
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to ship reliable and well-integrated features
  • Optimize backend infrastructure for system performance, uptime, and efficiency in a cloud-hosted (AWS) environment
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including planning, development, deployment, and monitoring

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of backend development experience with strong object-oriented programming and system design skills
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and secure backend development practices
