The Opportunity

We're looking for an IT Security Operations Specialist with a strong delivery mindset who can turn security strategy into action. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of security, engineering, and execution, driving initiatives that strengthen ING's cybersecurity posture and resilience.

What You'll Do

• Lead security initiatives from concept through implementation and operational handover.
• Translate security policies, standards, and risk requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Partner with DevOps teams, engineers, and product owners to embed security into everyday delivery.
• Support security engineering activities, including:
  • Vulnerability management
  • Security hardening
  • Security monitoring
  • Penetration testing
  • Application security testing
  • Firewall rule reviews
• Drive local and global security programs that support regulatory and security requirements.
• Track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure successful delivery of security initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience driving initiatives from planning through execution.
• The ability to simplify complex security challenges and develop actionable solutions.
• A balance of security engineering expertise and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of modern engineering environments and DevOps practices.

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA is advantageous.
