We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our growing team and lead our talented group of software engineers.

As a Software Engineering Manager at Procore, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the experience of users worldwide as you oversee a team focused on the development and execution of our existing and new generation of the Construction Documents tools. 

This position will report into the Senior Engineering Manager for the Construction Documents Group and it's based in Cairo, Egypt.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth. Create a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Collaborate with product managers, design and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that delivers highly scalable, performant, available, and secure solutions
• Collaborate with other departments such as product marketing and customer success to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
• Own the overall success of business domains managing the improvement of functionality, APIs, quality, testing, and performance adhering to our Reference Architecture
• Work closely with the development team to set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address any performance issues to ensure the continuous improvement of the engineering team.

What we're looking for: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience
• 6+ years experience working in software engineering
• Experience with working on Document Management systems
• Experience working within a monolithic architecture, as well as a service-oriented architecture
• Experience in the design, implementation, and delivery of scalable build/test/deploy infrastructure
• Experience in the following technologies, with demonstrated expertise and the capacity to lead complex technical initiatives in frontend architecture and design systems

• Javascript and Ruby on Rails

• Service design and scalable deployment in cloud based software development

• Ability to successfully operate and execute in ambiguous environments

• Ability to leverage exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills within direct interactions with customers, stakeholders, and engineers alike
