indie is empowering the automotive revolution with next generation automotive semiconductors and software platforms. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
As a Software QA Engineer in indie’s Vision Business Unit, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge image and video processing solutions. You will design and execute test plans, develop automated test scripts, and validate embedded software for our current and next-generation ICs in the rapidly expanding automotive camera market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test plans to validate both generic and customer-specific software releases.
- Write and execute embedded test code in C to validate software directly on hardware.
- Automate test cases using Python and the Robot Framework.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with software development teams to triage and resolve issues.
- Log and track software defects with comprehensive bug reports, ensuring thorough regression testing upon resolution.
- Conduct manual test cycles, including regression, release, and ad hoc testing, while documenting results in test management tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, Python scripting, and Windows/Linux shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience working with hardware and circuit boards.
- Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with testing tools and automation frameworks (e.g., JIRA, Robot Framework) is a plus.
