Data Scientist, Level 3

What You Will Do:
 

As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will work with large-scale datasets and distributed data-processing environments to support complex mission requirements. You will use Python, Spark, and data-processing technologies to analyze, transform, and manage data while applying a strong understanding of network and protocol analysis.

This position combines data science and large-scale data processing with network and protocol analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark
• Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows
• Perform data transformation, integration, and processing across multiple data sources
• Apply network and protocol analysis knowledge to complex datasets
• Analyze network and communications data to identify patterns, characteristics, and relationships
• Develop and maintain automated data-processing pipelines
• Support distributed data-processing environments
• Perform data analysis and develop technical solutions supporting mission requirements
• Document analytical methods, processes, and findings
• Collaborate with technical and mission teams to deliver actionable results

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark
• Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows
• Perform data transformation, integration, and processing across multiple data sources
• Apply network and protocol analysis knowledge to complex datasets
• Analyze network and communications data to identify patterns, characteristics, and relationships

Experience with ETL, dataflow, and data-processing workflows is a plus

Education and Experience:
 

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience

Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

Clearance Requirement:
 

• Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
