PCRF ENGINEER

Location: Ridgeland, MS

Inabia is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer with deep expertise in 5G/LTE policy control, charging, and network function virtualization to support large-scale carrier networks. This role requires hands-on proficiency across policy control, subscriber management, DPI, and cloud-native infrastructure in mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will lead complex implementations, migrations, upgrades, and production support activities for Tier-1 mobile operators.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network implementations, migrations, and upgrades in LTE and 5G environments
• Provide ongoing production support for large-scale Tier-1 mobile operator networks
• Drive technical leadership across cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Support and optimize policy control, charging, and subscriber management platforms
• Operate within DPI, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure environments
• Apply continuous improvement practices in mission-critical, high-availability telecom settings
• Communicate technical concepts and project status clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
• Execute project implementations with a strong focus on quality, timeliness, and risk management

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting large-scale Tier-1 mobile operators or telecommunications service providers
• Hands-on expertise in policy control, charging, and subscriber management systems
• Experience with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technologies
• Working knowledge of virtualization and cloud infrastructure platforms
• Experience with LTE and 5G technologies and standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex implementations, migrations, and production support engagements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 5G Policy Control Function (PCF)
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized network functions
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with OpenStack environments
• Python or automation scripting experience
• Telecom vendor certifications (any major vendor)
• ITIL Foundation certification
