Are you passionate about HR Master Data, solution engineering, and building scalable digital platforms? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, developing enterprise solutions, and enabling HR digital transformation through technology?
We are looking for a System Engineer to join our People Platform team supporting SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. You will play a key role in configuring, integrating, and supporting our Core HR Master data, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions across the employee lifecycle.

We believe you bring

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Emplpoyee Central, including configuration, implementation, and platform administration.
• Strong experience configuring the SF Employee Central.
• Formal qualifications in computer science, software engineering, or any engineering equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as SuccessFactors engineer with similar level of experience in the specific tech stack for the area
• Experience of working in agile/iterative software development teams with a DevOps Mindset and with an emphasis on self-organization and delivery to agreed commitments
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values, and way of working
This is our wish list

The must-haves we see for this role are:
• Strong technical expertise in SuccessFactors Employee Central module.
• Experience configuring MDFs, Foundation objects, Business rules, workflows, and role based permissions, Data Models.
• Certified Employee Central (Mandatory) practitioner with an experience of 3-5 years in Employee central and must have worked in at least 1 end to end SuccessFactors implementation.
• Good knowledge around Process designs and Personas of SuccessFactors Employee Central Module.
• Strong configuration skills around Core EC functionalities like – Business rules, MDF’s and FO’s, Associations, Custom UIs, Alerts and Notifications, Position Management, Data models, Configure People Profile, Picklists, Translations etc.
• Expertise in understanding the data flow across the different SuccessFactors modules and integration with third-party systems (eg : ADP, Benefit provider etc )
• Global and Regional Core EC process knowledge.
• Actively participated in Design, Playback and UAT workshops.
• Supported the Data Migration workstream of Employee central including key activities around Data Templates preparation, transformation, validation, and Data load.
• Good Communication and Team Player.
• Understands requirements gathering and setting expectations with Business and Product stakeholders. Also demonstrates personal accountability for keeping delivery on track.
• Understands how their daily work contributes to the priorities of the team and the business.
• Knowledge in Success factor API's and integrating data to external clouds such as GCP.
• Demonstrates strong commitment to personal learning and development

A day in your life with us

You’ll be a vital part in the transformation of IKEA into a more front-line obsessed company by ensuring that configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting the OpenText xECM for SAP SuccessFactors platform. Working closely with Platform Product Delivery Manager you will build secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions while ensuring high platform availability and operational excellence.
This mean that you will:
• Configure and implement SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solutions.
• Design and configure data models, organizational structures, workflows, business rules, and security (RBP).
• Develop and maintain integrations between SuccessFactors EC and enterprise applications (Payroll, Identity systems, Finance, etc.).
• Support platform upgrades, releases, deployments, migrations, and implementation activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues while maintaining platform stability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Specialists, Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver business requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize platform performance, scalability, and automation.

You will work within the Group Function Digital Area, supporting People & Culture platforms across IKEA's global organization.
Our engineering team is responsible for delivering and supporting SAP SuccessFactors, enabling secure, compliant, and efficient master data management throughout the employee lifecycle.
We collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Specialists, Enterprise Architects, Security, Service Delivery, SAP teams, and external technology partners to continuously improve our platform.
