About the role
In this role, you will be one of the key players in building and evolving world class IT systems that support the business in delivering best in class insurance solutions to our largest and most complex customers. You will operate at a cross-domain level in Business Area Industrial, ensuring architectural coherence, long-term sustainability, and alignment with both business strategy and IT transformation goals. The work includes supporting other solution architects, managing dependencies across Business Areas and ensuring consistency with group-level initiatives, shared capabilities, and architectural frameworks
A core part of the role is to define and own clear architectural roadmaps and transition paths, guiding our landscape from current state to target state while balancing business needs, technical constraints, and ongoing delivery. You will drive IT simplification by making complex problems into understandable and actionable solution design.
The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and delivery teams spanning across multiple locations. You are expected to contribute to early analysis, shape solution directions, design solution options, and help business and IT to decide on the directions and solution choices while being transparent.

About the team
You will be reporting to Head of Industrial Architecture. The current Industrial architecture team consists of 5-7 people in Stockholm and Riga. The key stakeholder includes CPOs, Engineering Managers & Tech Leads & sometime direct business users primarily based in Stockholm, Riga, Copenhagen or Espoo.
Who are you?
You are a curious and collaborative architect with strong communication skills, able to bring stakeholders together in a common direction. Through your experience, you know how to create anchored architectural roadmaps and ensure their execution across teams, domains, and business areas. Earlier in your career, you worked as a developer and built a solid technical foundation that you have continuously maintained. You bring strong knowledge of Microsoft based technologies and have practical experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, enabling you to make well-grounded architectural decisions.
You have:
Significant experience driving architecture end-to-end, including mentoring solution architects, following up on architectural deliveries, and ensuring alignment with agreed principles and target states in a fast paced environment where strategic thinking and operational support go hand in hand.
Comfortability to work hands-on with solution architecture, while keeping responsibility for the broader architectural picture.
Strong ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs, and you excel in the intersection between business and IT. You can comfortability navigate complexity, make informed tradeoffs, and support delivery execution.
An understanding and fluency in both business language and technical architecture, understand the end-to-end business processes and the system landscape holistically.
A skill to produce architecture viewpoint for different aspects and stakeholders such as business/process, Information modeling and application and integration architecture.
