As the team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer (fully remote role, or based in Varna, hybrid or on-site).
Job Description
About the Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining a legacy API built with CakePHP 2 and developing new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
You will:
- Maintain and enhance legacy APIs built with CakePHP 2.
- Design and develop new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
- Write and maintain unit and Behat tests to ensure code quality.
- Collaborate with team members in an agile SCRUM environment.
- Deploy and monitor applications using Docker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work with PostgreSQL databases and Pub/Sub messaging services.
Qualifications
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate has strong backend experience, works well in an agile SCRUM environment, and is comfortable with modern development tools and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of professional experience as PHP Developer
- Strong experience with PHP 8.3 and modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, API Platform).
- Experience maintaining legacy codebases (CakePHP 2 preferred).
- Familiarity with Docker, GCP, and microservice architecture.
- Proficient with PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub.
- Experience writing unit tests and Behat tests.
- Good understanding of agile/SCRUM development practices.
