Ibotta is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding by enabling the engineering organization and reducing friction.
As part of the engineering team, you will build the foundation and paved roads for the platform that powers our app that is used by millions of consumers in addition to our Ibotta Performance Network. We're looking for a self-motivated engineer who has a passion for building and scaling infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines leveraging technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and AWS. Every engineer has input into our product process and will have a real impact as part of a small, nimble team.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:
Work with the Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, Machine Learning, Data Infrastructure and Engineering Security teams to drive engineering productivity and empowerment in a large cloud infrastructure using AWS (such as Lambdas and CodeDeploy) and Kubernetes technologies
Develop tools to enable the engineering organization’s self-service access for infrastructure creation and management at velocity, as well as enabling engineers to ship code quickly and with confidence
Build automation tools for testing, provisioning, monitoring and deployment
Joining the on-call rotation to help support the team and developers
Write tests and perform code reviews to ensure that we're shipping reliable, readable, and reusable code
Research and implement technology solutions for a reliable, high performance, high transaction system
Ensure that security is a first-class citizen across the infrastructure
Ship production code on a daily basis
Maintain infrastructure for 50+ AWS accounts
Build up and maintain usability documentation surrounding the tools the team develops

What we are looking for:
3+ years of experience in DevOps or software development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a related field required
Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Working knowledge of one programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Go, Javascript, PHP, etc.
Familiarity with the command line, including shell scripting in bash/zsh
Experience with MySQL, Postgres or other RDBMS.
Experience with a variety of open source technologies and cloud services
Experience managing and deploying highly available systems
Experience automating tasks for internal or external applications
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems administration
Working knowledge of source control systems including Git
Nice to have:
Experience supporting a production platform with hundreds of thousands or millions of users
Experience implementing Continuous Integration/Delivery for applications and infrastructure
Experience with Microservice and Serverless architectures
Knowledge of software design and architecture principles
Knowledge in object-oriented programming design and development
TDD and unit test experience using tools such as RSpec or JUnit
Experience with web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Node.js
Scrum/Agile development experience

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $120,000 - $160,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
