What is an AI Builder?

Being an AI Builder at Hyde is like leading your own Applied AI startup, you’re the CXO - driving vision, strategy, and execution. You’ll be working in small teams responsible for building and productionizing agentic environments for customers, and capturing product signal or writing PRs directly to evolve Hyde’s software and toolkits.

Every day is different, some ideas of what you will do:

• Partner with customer CXOs and functional heads to identify business needs, uncover high-impact AI leverage points, and define measurable success criteria

• Make business opportunities real using creative, feasible, and technically sound LLM orchestration patterns, or new user experiences. Build systems that capture what makes each company unique, combining autonomous components with critical human expertise

• Validate hypotheses by designing systems quickly and iterating with customer’s operators - both frontline and leadership. You’ll lead cycles of agent building, model fine-tuning, setting up evaluation loops, and business process re-creation

• Capture reusable patterns and insights in documentation and pull requests to inform Hyde’s product direction and delivery tradecraft

You may be the right fit if you have:

• Experience working in applied ML, reinforcement learning, product engineering, and/or top-tier management consulting. Ideally, experience deploying AI in creative ways to solve real problems

• A track record of working directly with customers to build and/or scale end-user applications

• A strong foundation in ML basics (Evaluation, Training, Problem Decomposition). Preferred backgrounds include but are not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Machine Learning, Data Science

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/ JavaScript
