Who you are
Joining our newly created mobile squad as an iOS Engineer, you’ll play a key role in continuing to build our market leading Humanforce Work App. You will work closely with senior engineers on building best practices across the team to ensure we continue to build a seamless user experience across the Humanforce Work application.
This role has a direct impact on our end users, ensuring every employee can seamlessly interact with our features. You are passionate about building high quality user experiences, enjoy discovery work and thrive on collaboration working with a diverse group of internal stakeholders.
What you will do
- Develop high quality, scalable and performant software components, and UI in support of our industry leading product including worker scheduling, time and attendance, leave, pay and messaging and notification services.
- Apply your skills to deliver high quality code with a focus on unit tests and UI automation for robustness including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Actively participate in all phases of the SDLC, working closely with, and incorporating feedback from product management, designers, and other engineers in a small cross-functional and agile team.
- Keep your skills up to date in an environment where we drive innovation to evolve our technology stack ensuring we maintain industry best practice.
- Focus on your own professional growth through dedicated self-development time.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring other engineers and knowledge with cross-functional groups.
- Provide a delightful experience for our users through the delivery of highly polished features, squashing bugs, and performance optimisation.
What you’ll need
- 3-5 years of iOS development experience
- Proficient in Swift & SwiftUI
- Hands on experience consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with reactive programming (RXSwift)
- Unit testing experience (XCTest)
Some ‘nice to haves’
- Experience with Firebase. (Crashlytics)
- Experience with Moya networking library or similar.
- UI automation testing experience (Appium & Browserstack)
- Experience working with AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Cognito).
- Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines & App Store policies
- An eye for design and understanding of best practice UX patterns
