Your Role
As Senior Director of Hardware Product Management, you and your team will help define the future of the Hudl hardware portfolio, which includes cameras, wearables and other accessories. You’ll help determine what success looks like for your business unit, team or product, and work across functions and departments to achieve that success.
In this role, your will be asked to:
- Create a product strategy and vision. You’ll work with your leadership team to create a coherent product strategy and vision for the hardware product lines, connecting that to the wider company strategy.
- Lead continuous improvement. You’ll help improve delivery capability and enable the team to scale across a broad surface area.
- Collaborate. You’ll foster communication between business units, challenging the status quo when necessary. You’ll lead Engineering and Design in making decisions that balance cost, timeline and customer benefit. You’ll also work with Marketing to develop and support go-to-market plans.
- Advocate for the product. You’ll establish mutual respect and trust with each stakeholder, including Hudl’s senior leadership. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our customers and our business needs.
- Motivate. You’ll inspire your direct team of Product Managers and any other teams in the company who contribute to the product (Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, etc).

Must-Haves
- Product management pedigree. You have a bachelor's degree and more than five years of experience in product management.
- SaaS experience. You’ve spent time at a high-growth SaaS company that is building the plane while flying it (figuratively).
- Business-to-business (B2B) experience. While business-to-consumer (B2C) experience is a nice complement, we want someone who has a solid understanding of B2B dynamics, with hands-on experience in delivering value to business clients.
- A proven people leader. You have at least two years experience hiring and supporting a team of product managers—you know how to coach a high-performing team to deliver against the roadmap. You care deeply about your team and want to help them be successful, and you’re always willing to roll up your sleeves to help.
- Cross-functional relationship management. You understand the importance of building strong relationships with Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Support and others. You can get buy-in on your ideas without resorting to command-and-control tactics.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hardware SaaS expertise. You’ve worked at an organization that delivers software-enabled hardware products (such as wearables and cameras) and have a strong track record of shipping software-enabled hardware products.
- Passion for sports. Whether you’ve played sports competitively or are just a fan, being able to relate to athletes and fans will go a long way to being an effective product leader at a sports technology company.
- Trend awareness. You pay attention to what’s happening in the sports and/or the tech industry. You’re able to adapt to market/tech trends when needed, and can guide your teams to do the same.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is displayed below, and may be eligible for bonuses which are offered at Hudl's sole discretion. Where a candidate is placed within this base salary range is determined by experience, skills, education and training required for the job as well as our internal pay equity. Discretionary bonuses, if awarded, may include annual targets based on company performance and a long-term incentive award.
