EU Supply Team Lead {Mechanical Engineering}

What you'll do:

• Lead the European Supply team (3 FTEs), with a strong focus on 3DP, and CNC Machining 
• Support the team members in their day-to-day activities, 
• Strategically plan the European network development (capacity / capabilities) in line with commercial needs and pricing inputs, 
• Monitor and proactively drive the region supply performance: On-Time shipping / Quality metrics,     
• Source, select & qualify new suppliers, 
• Develop suppliers: with the support of Supplier Quality Engineers, identify and deploy manufacturing best practices to ensure better performance and consistency across the network,  
• Develop new capabilities (technologies, materials, post processing options,...),   
• Design processes to manage our supplier relationships and performance in a scalable way, 
• Work hand in hand with our Product & Engineering team to help develop the platform and improve the MP experience, 
• With our Manufacturing Partners and our Protolabs factories colleagues, work on the combined offering roadmap.  

What it takes:

• Min 5 years of experience in Operations (Supply Chain, Production or Quality) -including 2 years in an additive manufacturing environment, 
• Good understanding of the metal working technologies (incl CNC) 
• Proven record of successful team management,    
• Excellent presentation / communication skills 
• Analytical mindset and data driven approach to supplier management
